ZAZENKAI or Day of Zen
Please join us for this longer Zen practice period, sitting in silence and stillness with others, helping all beings.
Join the Joyful Mind Zen Community for its Sunday bimonthly Practice Period in the Aspen Hill Library, for Zen Meditation
Silence and Teaching, Walking Meditation, Tea Breaks, Teaching Instruction. Meditation is for 25 minutes with walking meditation interspersed. Tea and snack break in the middle. You may also come 10:15 to noon if you wish.
Sit in Chair or on a Cushion. Please register in advance: Information@joyfulmindzendo.org or on Meetup. Suggested donation: $10-$20 to help us pay for the rental space. You may also bring a snack for our tea break

Chairs are available but you may wish to bring a seat cushion. We will have floor cushions but you are free to bring your own cushion.

10:30-Noon: Opening Chants and Welcome, Walking Meditation outside and inside, Sitting Meditation (Zazen), Newcomers instruction if requested in advance
12:00 Silent Tea/Snack Break
12:20-1:45: Dharma Talk, Teacher One-on-One interviews with students , Walking Meditation, Zazen, Chanting Practice
2:00 Closing up the Zendo
